| BCH Star Database | Tim Whitlock (Deactivated) | BCH IT have contacted us about the hoasting of the BCH Star database based on RaDaR. They don't feel confident with linux. Options are they host the linux VM we support remotely. We host the linux VM and support it for them (this has IG implications). They also say they don't have much VM resource left so may not have the capacity. We are currently awaiting to hear back from them. No prices have been quoted for support and hosting yet. |
| Aimes | The N3 disk array is short of space. Due to the fact that the current rack is fully populated and the compellent storage system is as well the only option is to swap out the disks for larger ones. Due to the RAID configuration the only way to do this is to swap each of the 6 disks out one at a time and wait for the array to re-synchronise. Then once all 6 disks are swapped to tell the compllent the disks are 1TB. This will then double the capacity and should stave of space issues until we remove HS and free up further space. | |
