Outstanding Tasks | foghorn_leghorn (Unlicensed) has added some documentation for the use of Pull requests in development(Using Pull Requests in Development). This will need to be reviewed by the whole team along with the other development documentation. This will be done in August after the UKRDC has gone live. foghorn_leghorn (Unlicensed) is still working on the QBL counts ticket Error rendering macro 'jira' : Unable to locate Jira server for this macro. It may be due to Application Link configuration. . A misunderstanding by foghorn_leghorn (Unlicensed) has required some reworking. This needs testing. For testing the test database will need testing and the new lookup table entries added. This should be completed by the next meeting.George Swinnerton has not heard from NHSBT about the PV data feed. This was last received on the 8th June. George Swinnerton will chase to see if he can get an update Tim Whitlock (Deactivated) has not yet arranged the RaDaR meeting to review tickets and re proritise. This will need to occur after the go live. Tim Whitlock (Deactivated) has checked with Retha about the consent announcement. It appears that medical Research council has updated their advice about consent for research and what this means when linking to different data sources. It appears that if consent is given to hold data for research then this gives permission of linking to approved data sources for research without getting permission for each specific data source. This implies that re consenting RaDaR patients on mass may not be required and the original consent would have been adequate. QUite how this will affect the current mix of consents is unclear. Tim Whitlock (Deactivated) followed up with Retha Steenkamp about the data set for simplified and the missing spreadsheet referenced from the DSA. Copy stored in R:\0 Systems\Projects\Simplified\ George Swinnerton has not yet updated the missing minutes but has created a paper copy ready to do so.R:\0 Systems\Projects\Simplified\RegistryDataFields_13Feb2018.docx. George Swinnerton will go through this a padd notes of where the data will come from and whether we always have the data, it may be missing for some patients or it will be x months out of date due to upload cycle times. Currently some data will come directly from PV feeds and may be patchy for some as not all units send the data (also not all the patients required have been added to PV to allow the data to be sent) Other data will come from the renal reg database and will require its own export. It was suggested that we would have two processes one dealing with data that is "live fed" and one with data that is loaded by quarters. Once the document has been annotated it should be possible to review this and decide the exact process. George Swinnerton said it needs to be made clear to simplified that some of the data is received after a specific time period so will not be current and some data we rarely have etc. All staff were reminded they need to get their holiday bookings including Christmas if possible to ensure resource planning can be done.
NHSBT DSA | foghorn_leghorn (Unlicensed) queried the status of the NHSBT Data Sharing agreement that is now with Katharine. Current status is not known.
Matching Welsh HES | George Swinnerton has to match a set of data for Anna Casula for the Welsh HES data.
AKI Data Dump | rapolas (Unlicensed) | rapolas (Unlicensed) needs to produce a dump of all AKI data. This will then become a regular feed for NHS England. George Swinnerton raised concerns over the fact that data appears to have been loaded outside the permissions of our S251 including a number of dummy patients. rapolas (Unlicensed) did comment that the validation does mark these as errors however he wonders if the Data Managers are not correctly reloading the corrected file before importing so effectively importing the original file with errors. This needs investigation and the processing being done by the data managers needs to be reviewed to try and identify why the data base has these errors. |
Validation Errors | foghorn_leghorn (Unlicensed) | foghorn_leghorn (Unlicensed) raised the issue that Data Managers can corrupt the data file during their correction process resulting in a code crash. This can take a long time to find due to the variety of possible errors. It was noted that coping and pasting can some times add columns to a row that are blank but would appear as an extra column when exported/read. Discussions about improving error messages besides looking at how these errors could be better flagged was inconclusive beyond a commitment to ensuring more help error messages need to be thrown. |
Six Month Review | Tim Whitlock (Deactivated) | Tim Whitlock (Deactivated) will have a six month review session with each team member to see how we can better meet the need of the UKRR. Looking at individual needs and team needs. This is an opportunity for each member to have input into the way forward and how to improve task completion and project management. These will hopefully all occur this week. |
Action items

- rapolas (Unlicensed) AKI Data dump
- Tim Whitlock (Deactivated) to ask about the possible data issues in AKI loaded data
