PKB Notifications

A potential issue is the way PKB does notifications.

David Lawson was flagging that an email is sent for every change in data however it does look like PKB limits these to one a day the issue is that if we are not only sending the new data but some historic data ( we usually send to PV a block of data covering  4 weeks) these will be flagged as changes to the patient. This is likely to confuse some patients as the data will not have been changed so much as resent.

Assuming we follow our current process then an email will be generated each time we send data which is generally because we have new data now because we deduplicate the files coming in. It is likely though the patient will  be told data has changed/been updated when really it has been resent.

The recommendation is:

"I'd recommend sending only data that is new or that has been changed rather than resending a batch of prior information (2 weeks) when any new data is identified."
