Terminology and Schema

The UK Renal Data Collaboration will use a single XML Schema for both the transmission of data to the UKRDC and the creation of an Electronic Patient Record within it. The UKRDC Schema is based InterSystems SDA (Chapter 4) with some modifications to suit the needs of UK Renal data.

The schema will expand as the need arises and it should be implemented with this in mind. We will use the following standard terminologies and code sets:
