Facility dashboard

Users with permissions to access only one renal unit will automatically land on their facility dashboard rather than the Administrator Dashboards

The facility dashboard provides key information for renal units at a glance, as well as provider deeper insights such as data and statistic visualisation, and comprehensive error reporting.

Error reporting

A critical metric for unit administrators is the Active failing records. The number of active failing records is displayed both as an alert banner if any exist, and in the record counts at the top of the dashboard.

Additionally, we show the past 12 months of error history for the renal unit. This allows unit administrators to quickly identify sudden increases in errors, which could be a sign of systematic issues within their EPR system or UKRDC data flow.

Any active failing records should be resolved as soon as possible.
Incomplete patient records will impact patients (incomplete data on record viewers like PV or PKB) as well as staff, since statistical calculations will use incomplete or erroneous data.

The Errors tab will show the most recently received message for each active failing record, allowing unit administrators to quickly identify records that need corrections, and the cause of failure.

Alerts and data flow

Alerts and data flow information is shown on the right of the dashboard. This includes information about the date of the latest file received from the renal unit, as well as key information about feed types, and any inbound and outbound data flow to third part services such as PKB.

Statistics and data visualisation

Additional tabs on the facility dashboard provide data visualisations for key statistics.

Currently, only basic patient demographic statistics are available, however more tabs will be added going forward providing up-to-date, real-time (or close to real-time) statistics based on record data for all renal patients within the facility.

These are calculated automatically within the UKRDC, and summaries of the data are available to export from within the dashboard.
