Sending a Patient Record for support

If you need UKKA support with a patient record, for example if data appears incorrectly, you have several options for sending the record to our staff for investigation.

Sending the patient’s URL

The most secure and reliable way to point us towards a specific record is to send the URL to that patient’s record. This URL does not contain any identifiable patient information. It includes an internal identifier that is only meaningful within the UKRDC.

Once you’ve found the patient’s record, you can find the URL at the top of your browser window, for example:

Copy and paste this link in an email and we’ll be able to jump straight to that record.

Sending the patient’s UKRDC ID or PID

Alternatively, you can copy either the PID or UKRDC ID from the Patient Numbers section on the left hand side of their record, for example:

You can also copy the record PID from the three-dot menu on any patient record list, for example:

Once copied, you can send these numbers to UKKA staff in an email.

Sending NHS/CHI/HSC number

Where at all possible, please use one of the previous methods listed above. NHS/CHI/HSC numbers are identifiable patient data, and should only be sent in emails when absolutely necessary.
