NaHUS Report
aHUS or NaHUS is a summary report – it only contains summary statistics generated using SAS.
Rituximab and Nurture Reports
The other reports are missing data reports and report at patient level highlighting which data items are missing for each patient. SAS is used to import all the .csv from radar export, and merged them all together, so that the report is a row per patient Some of the data entries are conditional to the patient (e.g. some tests only required for diabetic patients), Rules are used to ensure all empty data entry is not flagged as missing, but “N/A” or “if applicable” instead.
Some data items are required in a timely manner, e.g. blood tests every 3 month from recruitment/baseline, this is checked using a “3 month follow up due date” and appling a window (e.g. 1.5 month prior and after to the due date), and then search if there are any records of the required blood tests within that window.
In the Rituximab project it is a bit more complex so a “score” is calculated for each patient denoting the overall completeness of data items at different time, e.g. Baseline completeness score, 3 month follow up completeness score. The score is basically the % completeness of the mandatory items that should be present. The score is used because missing data is chased only if they are below 90%.
