New features

NHS login on UK self-registration pages

We have updated the team self-registration pages on our UK server with a button to register using NHS login. Patients are able to use their NHS login to verify their identity and register for a PKB record. Unlike the main PKB web site’s NHS login registration, the team page links the patient to the team. Teams can use this for self-referrals – e.g. for maternity and physiotherapy – working with patients whose identity has already been verified. This also allows private providers and charities to onboard patients with NHS login.

Edit plan icon

We have updated the edit icon on the plans page to include an ‘Edit’ label to make it more obvious how to edit a plan.

HL7 document types

We have added 4 new HL7 document types ‘Health screening report', ‘’Timetable, ‘Signposting document’ and 'Support document’. These can be specified in the TXA-2.1 field when sending in an MDM T02 message (https://dev.patientsknowbest.com/home/hl7-api/messages/mdm-t02/document ), for a full list of document types please see https://dev.patientsknowbest.com/home/hl7-api/code-sets#h.jc0za36dm7x6.

Feature updates

HL7 ORU Test Results

We have made a change to how we handle HL7 ORU R01 lab results messages which contain an blank value for the test name in OBX-3.2 (https://dev.patientsknowbest.com/home/hl7-api/messages/oru-r01/laboratory.) In this case the test code specified in OBX-3.1 will be displayed on the 'Tests' page.

Technical improvements

Care plans

We have made a security improvement to how we handle customisation of care plans using HTML code, this change ensures that this cannot be exploited by an attack against our system.
