Questions/Comments for AIMES

  • Chase up George’s email to AIMES

  • Request weekly update meetings with all involved staff for progress update

    • I want an update every week, regardless of who specifically it comes from

  • RADAR-Test can be removed from the plan, converted to cloud credits?

  • AIMES are not going to get VPN access to NBT’s network. We might be able to go the other way round, and have data sent via SFTP to an AIMES server without any VPN involved. Is this an option?

  • Sharepoint migration is in the contract but not the plan.

Roadblocks

  • AIMES not progressing some stuff until we decide on if AIMES will provide switches, wifi etc

Questions for the plan

  • Does the NBT line need to be disconnected before the new AIMES line can be installed?

  • Need to plan the logistics of disruptive changes; new laptop distribution, office line switch, renalregistry email domain switch

    • Need a project plan for this. Been waiting on AIMES plan.

    • Double check office guest network works on AIMES laptops

    • Could we split disruption in half: One for renalregistry migration, and a later one for NBT line disconnection

  • What is stopping AIMES from setting up the AD servers etc? When can we get a test SQL server

  • Courier options for initial data dump.

Information AIMES may need

  • Storage requirements

    • Bitlocker, shadow copies etc

  • We need to either have all migrated server hostnames match the current hostnames

NBT server upgrades

  • Mentioned in AIMES call

    • Heather believes that the plan will be enough to satisfy NBT

    • In order for AIMES to help, they want access to NBT network

  • Is there a way we could move vital processes to servers that are already running R2?

  • Alternatively, we need retail installation media

  • If NBT won’t budge on the upgrade requirements, AIMES will help as long as they have the required access.

Practical next steps

  • Buy data drive

  • Ask AIMES what’s holding up the AD servers

  • Ask AIMES what’s holding up the Office 365 account.

    • We need just one admin account to start setup

    • Start setting up Autopilot, Intune, NHS SES - This is likely weeks of work

  • Arrange weekly update meetings

  • Make a decision on ACT!

    • What’s the situation with the new website? Currently plan is to launch in December, but Act! replacement may not be around until later.

    • If new CRM won’t be around until after March, we likely need to buy one copy of newer Act! assuming there’s a migration path. Could live on the PC used for scanning software.

  • Find R2 installation media ISO files

  • We need to update Barry on the plan, but right now there is no proper plan.

    • Arrange a call with AIMES to discuss, invite Barry on the side
